10 Things To Do In Tokyo

Have Tokyo on your bucket list? Be sure to check out these few places too!

There’s always plenty to do in one of the busiest city in the world, whether you’re experiencing Sakura in the spring or the changing hue of the leaves during Autumn. There’s plenty to do and plenty to see while you bask in the beauty of the Japanese sun and elevate your olfactory senses as you’re surrounded by the cherry blossoms.

To help you out, we’ve put together a list of 10 things for you to do while you experience all that Tokyo has to offer.

1. The Robot Restaurant
Robots, dinosaurs, laser lights, dancers, cabarets, and robots, did we mention robots? Enjoy this chaotic performance; with dancing, drumming, pole dancing, robot riding and so much more!

2. The Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) Party
Have a picnic party under the beautiful cherry blossom trees, there are several places that host Hanami parties, usually private or public gardens and parks all over the country.

3. Watch a Sumo match
While you’re there, you CANNOT MISS watching their national sport. The best way to do this would be to witness a tournament.

4. The MORI Building Digital Art Museum
Don’t miss out on the chance to visit the very first Digital Art Museum IN THE WORLD in Tokyo, sure to blow your mind as you roam freely through multiple displays of interactive art

5. Kawaii Monster Café
This restaurant has been described to be an Alice-in-Wonderland-on-steroids experience. Trippy and touristy, this sensory extravaganza is not one to be missed.

6. Sensoji Temple
Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple, also one of the most photographed temples in Tokyo, is a cultural wonder.

7. Shibuya Crossing
The world’s busiest pedestrian crossing (also where Tokyp Drift was shot) is one that you simply have to cross – literally.

8. Tokyo Tower
View Tokyo from 332.9m up, from the 2nd tallest building in Japan. You can even see Mount Fuji from the Tokyo Tower!

9. Street Mario Kart
Dress up as Mario and a whole bunch of cosplay characters and go-kart the streets of Tokyo. Yes, it’s legal.
