Merchantrade Money co-branded FIFA World Cup 2026™ Visa Card

It’s a Limited Edition Merchantrade Money Visa prepaid card featuring the exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026™ design. It works exactly like the current red card, allowing you to spend in 20+ currencies globally with no hidden fees but with a bold new look for football fans.

The features and benefits are the same. The only difference is the exclusive Limited Edition design and it is only available while stocks last.

The card is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance. It remains fully functional until its expiry date, even after the World Cup is over.

Once it expires, you can certainly keep it as a memento or collectible.

Each user is entitled to one (1) active physical card at a time. If you choose the FIFA design, it will be your primary card.

You don’t have to, but if you are a football fan or a collector, this is for you. You get a bold new look for the 2026 tournament with the same seamless experience as your current card.

You can apply for the card if you are 18 years and above with a valid ID, a Malaysian registered mobile number, and a residential address in Malaysia.

Age requirements:

• In the app: 18 years and above.
• At our Branches: 12 years and above.

ID requirements:

• Malaysians: Valid NRIC.
• Non-Malaysians: Valid Passport, Malaysian Work Permit, or ID card issued in your home country.

You can get it in two ways:

New users:

• In the app: During sign-up, select the “FIFA World Cup™ 2026” design at the card selection step. (The card will be mailed to your address within 5-7 working days).
• Branch: You can get it from any Merchantrade branch nationwide. (You can have it couriered to your mailing address or collect at the branch within 5-7 working days).

If you want it immediately, you can get it at:

• The Gardens
• Pavilion KL
• Pavilion Damansara Heights

For all other branches, it will be ready in 5 to 7 working days.

Existing users:

• In the app: Go to ‘Card Settings’ and request for a card replacement (This method is only available for Malaysians)

Steps:

1. 1. Go to Card Settings
   2. Select Card Replacement
   3. Select New Card Design
   4. Select the FIFA card design
   5. Confirm your request
   6. The card will be mailed to your address within 5-7 working days

• Branch: You can replace your card at any Merchantrade branch nationwide. (You can have it couriered to your mailing address or collect at the branch within 5-7 working days).

If you want it immediately, you can get it at:

• The Gardens
• Pavilion KL
• Pavilion Damansara Heights

For all other branches, it will be ready in 5 to 7 working days.

No. Your Merchantrade Money account will remain the same. Only the physical card design changes.

No. To keep your account secure, only one card can be active at a time. Once you activate the new FIFA card, your previous card will be deactivated.

You can choose either the limited edition FIFA World Cup 2026™ design or the standard red card during your renewal process in the app or at any branch.

Anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted. You can use it for overseas card payments at millions of shops, restaurants worldwide or on online websites such as Amazon, Netflix, Agoda and many more.

Yes. You can use any ATM worldwide that displays the Visa Plus logo.

• Local (Malaysia): RM1.50 – RM2.00 fee
• Overseas: RM10.00 fee per withdrawal

You can top-up instantly via FPX (Online Banking) in the app.

Other methods include DuitNow, JomPAY, Debit Cards, Maybank CDMs, or cash-in at any Merchantrade branch or ATMs.

The card follows your wallet limit (up to RM20,000). You can personally manage your Visa payWave limit in the app in ‘Card Settings’.

Yes, once you have activated the card you can start using it immediately.

To ensure smooth transactions, please ensure to enable your card usage in ‘Card Settings’ in the app.

Steps:

1. Open the app
2. Click on Settings
3. Go to Card Settings
4. Enable the functions you need

Yes. For your protection, the new card arrives inactive. You must activate it in the app before you can start spending.
If you are replacing it at a branch, it will be activated during your replacement.

Your card number will remain the same, however, it depends on where you get your replacement:.

• In the app & selected branches: You will receive a new card number if you replace in the app or get from these selected branches:
  – The Gardens Mall
  – Pavilion KL
  – Pavilion Damansara Heights
• Merchantrade branches: Your card number will remain the same. 

You can choose to reset your preferred PIN anytime in the app if needed.

Yes, your existing balance will be automatically available on your new card.
Please note that the RM10 replacement fee will be deducted from your balance during the process.
